Jester's Cup no. 1

This is a unique stoneware clay cup. There is only one like it. The cup exists somewhere between sculpture and cup - a true art cup. The formal expression is rustic and "uneven", while the glaze is smooth, soft and even - that's how I love my cups.

A jester moves between playfulness and seriousness. He entertains, but also hides something. He stands a little outside the normal, where rules are looser, and where one sees the world both from within and without. The jester is both "part of the community" and yet not. There is a distance and mystery about a jester that inspires me and awakens my curiosity.

This is Jester Cup no. 1.

All jester cups are different, more are continuously added, and each one has small imperfections and distinctive features that attest to its originality.
