No one knows whether the candy child is even a child. But to me, the work plays with duality – the childish/innocent versus the serious.

What is an original work?

An original artwork is unique – there is only one of each. Each piece is handcrafted on 300 g quality watercolour paper or canvas, where I work with mixed media: watercolour, gouache, coloured pencils, and pencil interact in layers and nuances. These artworks bear small traces from the process – these are not flaws but signs of craftsmanship and personality.
